An admin fee is a percentage added to the order at the admin’s discretion. This fee is charged transparently, as it is clearly visible in each member’s cart.
The fee is paid to the group admin as compensation for organising the group and managing the order process, including liaising with Honest to Goodness, collecting and making payments, and coordinating the distribution or collection of orders for members.
Depending on the size of the group and the complexity of the order, being a group admin can involve a significant amount of work. It is entirely up to the admin whether they choose to charge a fee and how much that fee will be.
How do admins collect this fee?
The admin fee is charged to members as a percentage of their individual order total. Members pay this amount directly to the admin along with the rest of their payment. The admin then submits the final payment to Honest to Goodness,
excluding the admin fee portion.Many admins effectively use this fee to help cover the cost of their own share of the order.
